Oral Fluid Drug Testing with Dräger

Dräger DrugTest® 5000 Oral Fluid Analysis
The source for a complete line of alcohol detection products since 1953, Dräger is proud to now include drug testing as part of our portfolio. The solution for rapid and accurate oral fluid testing, the Dräger DrugTest® 5000 relies on proven immunoassay technology, applied to the most user friendly testing matrix: oral fluid.
Features & Benefits
- Easiest testing matrix
- No gender restrictions
- Non-invasive
- Low Risk
- Detection of parent compounds
- Detection in relevant timeframe
- Reduce risk of tampering
Detection Times
While the detection limit of any assay will vary across the range of drug classes detected, oral fluid is a matrix uniquely suited for detection of impairment. These unique features allow the DrugTest 5000 assays to target parent compounds and provide results indicating recent consumption. Studies indicate the maximum range since consumption resulting in a positive test to be approximately 2 days for AMP to 8 hours for THC.
Confirmation Analysis
The Dräger DrugTest® 5000 Test System is a qualitative measurement procedure for detecting specific substances or their metabolites in the sample above a cut-off concentration. Therefore, it only provides a preliminary analytical result (screening procedure). To obtain a confirmed analytical result a more specific method must be used. As a rule the preferred method is gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) or liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS).
